What is Energy Psychology?

Energy psychology is an holistic approach to understanding and improving any aspect of human behavior and performance. It uses the energy systems that exist in our bodies, along with our thoughts, emotions and memories, to help us achieve behavioral changes in any area of our lives. It is an approach to healing and transformation that takes the entire ‘human system’ into account – body, including our innate energy systems; and mind, including our thoughts, emotions, memories, sensations and behavior.

 

Emotional Freedom Technique

I use a form of energy psychology called Optimal Emotional Freedom Technique. It has proven effective in an enormous range of issues, from mental and emotional 'disorders' like depression, anxiety and PTSD to illness and chronic pain.

The Science

Fortunately, we are moving beyond the pioneering years of energy psychology and there is now plenty of scientific evidence for this remarkable field. This is just the tip of the iceberg!

There are at least 82 energy psychology studies published in refereed journals. 43 of these studies were randomized controlled trials. 98% of the 82 studies show that energy psychology methods are effective. There are currently 4 published meta-analysis that support efficacy. 3 out of 4 of them show large effect sizes. The 4th shows a moderate effect size.
